TEXAR (AvalonWorks Corp.) AND ePROPOSE JOINT SALES & MARKETING INITIATIVE

May 9, 2001, Ottawa Ontario

Texar (AvalonWorks Corp.), a developer of security technologies designed to work across the enterprise, Web and peer-to-peer (P2P) computing environments, today announced a joint sales and marketing initiative with ePropose Inc., a collaborative commerce solutions provider.

Moving forward, SecureRealms technology will be integrated into the ePropose collaborative commerce platform, giving users a single, comprehensive solution suite for selective and secure sharing of information over the Internet or any other network.

"Texar SecureRealms has a clear advantage over all competing products in the policy-based security authorization market space," said Robert Courteau, President and CEO of Texar Corporation. "Our solution will give ePropose clients the flexibility to protect their customers resources and intellectual property rights across the Web, enterprise and in peer-to-peer networks - a growing necessity these days."

Applications built on ePropose automate any collaborative process from beginning to end. Using a newly-invented set of software objects and an original concept of how to move pieces of work around a network, ePropose supports not only structured data exchange, but also the human discussion, mid-stream changes and exceptions that slow business processes today. The platform powers teams of people, within or across firewalls, to share ideas, structure those ideas into work, collect data, negotiate, solicit approvals, commit transactions and record a complete audit trail. Enterprises can cooperate more closely than ever before, without compromising their proprietary processes or exposing their data assets to outsiders.

SecureRealms is a unique product suite that allows organizations to share sensitive business information while maintaining control over its use and distribution based according to the companies' own business rules or policies. SecureRealms extendible architecture ensures a consistent level of security is achieved when sharing information across the enterprise, the Web and through peer-to-peer networks. SecureRealms is a Java-based solution also enabling information sharing regardless of platform, server, or application.

"Companies dealing in complex goods and services recognize the enormous potential of implementing collaborative commerce solutions to bring greater efficiency to their operations," said William Leckonby, Chief Executive Officer, ePropose. "However, establishing secure flows of information between people, systems and enterprises over the Internet can be a tremendous challenge. By working with Texar (AvalonWorks Corp.), ePropose can offer our clients both the efficiency and the security that they require."
