TEXAR (AvalonWorks Corp.) SIGNS AGREEMENT WITH IMMIXTECHNOLOGY TO OFFER ITS POLICY-BASED
SECURITY SOLUTION TO THE PUBLIC SECTOR
December 20, 2001, Ottawa Ontario
Texar (AvalonWorks Corp.), a leader in
security software for policy-based authorization solutions, has signed
an agreement with immixTechnology, Inc. to add the SecureRealms
product-line to immixTechnology's GSA Schedule contract GS-35F-0330J.
Under this agreement, immixTechnology will facilitate the sales of Texar's
products to the public sector by helping to identify new opportunities,
negotiate and structure deals and manage the procurement process.
"We feel immixTechnology's specialized experience in providing contract
expertise and business development support will be a key factor in helping
us penetrate the public sector," said Jeff Watts, Senior Vice President
of Sales and Business Development of Texar. "Our ability to find a channel
partner with real-world experience in selling in the information security
market and in-depth knowledge of navigating the government buying process
is crucial to being successful in this unique and highly competitive marketplace."
Texar's (AvalonWorks Corp.) policy-based authorization solution offers government departments
and agencies the ability to offer secure information sharing by controlling
what people can do with highly valuable or critical data within and across
their secure IT infrastructure. It addresses the emerging need for granular
security, widespread enforcement, and the necessary controls for departments
and agencies to manage their risk regardless of platform, server, application,
or access channel.
"With new privacy regulations requiring government organizations to apply
complex security policies and rules to their sensitive information, SecureRealms
is well positioned to leverage its experience in the policy-based
security authorization market space," said Art Richer, Vice President
at immixTechnology. "SecureRealms will ensure departments and agencies
that confidential information is shared only with the right people both
within and between the departments who have access to the information."
