Avalon Works awarded Department of Justice contract August 26, 2002, Ottawa Ontario Through the Texar acquisition back in June 2002, Avalon Works has been awarded a contract by the Department of Justice to introduce Mandatory Policy-Based Authorization via the Texar - SecureRealms software which makes use Entrust-PKI authentication and encryption services in enabling organization to better secure documents kept within the Records Database Information Management System (RDIMS). "Security has been a major concern for RDIMS users over the past few years and the on-going initiative with DOJ might just be the answer" said Line Lafrance, Associate Partner and Chief Security Officer for AvalonWorks. The solution is mainly based on a Texar Product offering referred to as SecureRealms - DS (for document security), which provide the security functions required to properly secure sensitive information and introduce proper need-to-know.
